My name is Alana Tutwiler and I live in Orange Park, FL. I’m a government worker by day and a freelance writer on the side, hoping to turn this into my permanent career. I named my blog Priceless Words because everyone says that “a picture is worth a thousand words”. That is true, but I also believe that the right words are priceless. Words have power. The power to lift up, and the power to tear down. My goal is to use my words to lift up. My writing interests include world music and culture, history, education, health and wellness, and current events. I have a BA in Special Education from the University of North Florida and am working on a graduate degree from Webster University. I have extensive experience in academic research, writing and editing, and experience writing nonfiction articles that have appeared in print as well as online. I am currently a Contributing Writer for Suite 101 and for Edubook. I also write poetry and am working on my first novel and the curriculua for a couple of online classes that I am developing.
